Title: Member Discussion: The Strategic Plan for Aging Act and 2024 OAA Reauthorization Priorities

LTQA endorsed the landmark Strategic Plan for Aging Act introduced by Senators Gillibrand (D-NY) and Casey (D-PA). This bill would create a new, nationwide grant program under the Older Americans Act (OAA) to incentivize and support states’ efforts to create their own strategic plans for aging, known as Multisector Plans for Aging (MPAs). With the Older Americans Act up for reauthorization this year, LTQA held a member-only discussion to learn more about this proposed legislation and OAA reauthorization priorities.
